Profiler Display
The Profiler Display enables meteorological forecasters to visualise real-time wind speed and temperature data
from VHF wind profiling radars, and use it to enhance their forecasts. It replaces a legacy application used
nationally by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology. We assessed the existing
application, reviewed user requirements and designed a cross platform replacement, which we then implemented
in Java. The Profiler Display project illustrates our skills in Requirements Analysis and Software Design,
and our expertise in Java Programming in areas such as Graphical User Interfaces for Real-time Data Display,
Threads and Remote Method Invocation.
